Different Types of Edges
By default, your countertop will come with a straight edge, which is the simplest and most common way to cut the stone. Half bullnose and beveled edges are also common and inexpensive ways to add some flare to your counter.
For those who want to take elegance a step further, ogee, ogee bull, full or demi bullnose, erase edges and double bevels add a little extra flare. And for the truly special room, waterfall edges can create a conversation-worthy centerpiece out of a common countertop.
To the right is our full slate of edge options, most of which can be done to almost any stone.

The edges on your kitchen or bathroom countertops may seem like a small detail, but it can have a huge impact on style, how easy the countertops are to clean, and safety. For example, if you have little children running around the house, a flat edge may be dangerous. If you don’t want to spend too much time cleaning small crevices, maybe it’s best to avoid the waterfall edge.
