5. Custom, hand-cut granite slabs
Cheap granite is almost always prefabricated – which means that it’s been pre-cut and pre-polished to a standard size and shape with a standard rounded edge. There is no room for customization and the pattern will not match at the seams where pieces from different parts of the quarry are butted up against one another. Hand-cut slab granite, on the other hand, can be customized to match your exact dimensions and ensures a continuous pattern.
